I did this dish once trying to copy another potato dish I ate at a buffet. It didn't taste alike, as if I invented another dish.
It's tasty and I didn't regret coming up with this recipe, my family asked me about it and I said it's a secret lol but I thought sharing it here.
1- Cut potato into cubes, boil them with salt for 30 minutes.
2- make this mixture:
Olive oil, buttermilk (or yogurt if you don't have it) 1\4 lemon, salt, pepper, cumin, cinnamon, thyme, basil.
3- put the boiled potatoes in the mixture it doesn't have to cover it. But mix it well so everything would absorb the mixture.
4- put the potato in a hot pan with olive oil and a bit of small chopped garlic and onion, until it takes this golden color.
